![]() Outside of the SSL bit, I can't say enough good things about ScreenConnect. SC logs the logins and you can set it to record the sessions if you so desire. I use SessionGroups and give some of my outside vendors access to certain machines (as a business necessity) through these groups. ![]() Maybe it's better now, but all I did was implement One-Time passwords through email or better yet, Google Authenticator. I think the SSL integration is clumsy and did not implement SSL (v12, I think). Some technicians don't receive views to all machines. I even have some based on Operating System. ![]() I have some based on names, Plants, Branches, etc. Other plusses, I like the Session Groups. I have mine configured that if someone sends a message from within an unattended session, it emails the message to me. You can use it without actually connecting to the desktop of the machine. ![]() The clients installed, talk to my own server. So service and access are not 'through outside servers'. Over the last 10 years, we have run variations of VNC, GoToAssist (and the FastSupport derivative), LogMeIn and even TeamViewer. We use ScreenConnect here exclusively, consistently and regularly for over 200 machines. Nirsoft's bluescreenview will never leave my toolbox. The available remote options are nice but my favorite is to have my toolbox of programs follow me with all sessions. Chrome doesn't give me the option to open the java agent in memory. My personal preference is to go in via Waterfox. ![]() After the permission is accepted the client side is done.Īt the same time or at your convenience the tech clicks join session and for the most part does the same thing. Depending on your admin parameters it asks permission to remote controll the computer. The user opens the agent via double click. Once they enter the correct code the agent is downloaded. You can set up sessions per public listing, assigned random generated short keys, or your own keys. So basicly it sets up a internet facing web server. Been using ScreenConnect for my personal Lab and supporting friends/family, I love this product. ![]()
